The L.A. flight is re-touted to Austin to get Scantlin out of the plane, where he allegedly has a verbal argument with a flight crew who wouldn't sell him alcohol.

AceShowbiz - Puddle of Mudd's frontman Wes Scantlin has caused trouble during his recent flight. The rocker landed in hot water after getting caught fighting with a flight attendant while in the air, TMZ reported. As a result, he got booted from the plane and later arrested at an airport in Austin, Texas on Tuesday, September 4.

Scantlin, according to the Austin Police Department, was involved in a verbal argument with a flight attendant over alcohol. While the exact reason of the fight was unclear, it was said that the musician was furious since the flight crew refused to sell him booze.

Scantlin, who recently signed his divorce papers from then wife Jessica Nicole Smith, was booked for public intoxication. A rep from Austin PD noted that the 40-year-old artist could also face federal charges of interfering with a flight attendant.

The flight which Scantlin was attended was originally bound for Los Angeles. Due to the incident, it was re-touted to Bergstrom International Airport for an emergency stop, where the rocker got kicked out of the plane. Austin police was spotted waiting for the star to exit the plane immediately after it landed.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Wes Scantlin is no stranger to legal issues. Last July, he pled guilty to cocaine possession, but the charges were to be cleared if he stayed out of trouble for the next 18 months. He seemed to have violated the condition with the recent plane incident.

If convicted, Scantlin could serve time behind bars for the cocaine charge, as well as misdemeanors and a felony.
