AceShowbiz - Fans could see the anticipated first trailer for Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" in a foreseeable future, DreamWorks Pictures has promised. The studio announced Tuesday, September 4 that it would team up with Google Play to premiere the sneak peek of the high-profile history drama on September 13 at 4 P.M. PT during a Google+ Hangout with director Spielberg and actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The "Lincoln" footage would mark the first movie trailer to be launched in a Google+ Hangout session, which allows people to connect face-to-face via group video chat. Spielberg and Gordon-Levitt were all set to participate in the live conversation, which will also be broadcast live on the ABC SuperSign from the heart of New York City's Times Square.
To join the live chat, fans are required to upload a short video on their own YouTube channel with the #LincolnHangout tag. They must describe who they are and why they are interested in the "Lincoln" film as well as what they would ask Spielberg and Gordon-Levitt about the Abraham Lincoln drama. "Lincoln" is a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President's tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, he pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.
Tackling the part of Abe is Daniel Day-Lewis. Gordon-Levitt stars as Robert Todd Lincoln, Tommy Lee Jones portrays Thaddeus Stevens, while Jared Harris plays Ulysses S. Grant. Also supporting the film are Jackie Earle Haley, Sally Field, David Strathairn and Lee Pace among others.
"Lincoln" is scheduled for limited release in the U.S. on November 9 before opening nationwide on November 16.
