Alleged First Look at Goblin King in 'The Hobbit' Surfaces
Movie

A photo which allegedly reveals how Barry Humphries' monstrous character will look like in 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' has made its round on the internet.

AceShowbiz - How the Goblin King in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" will look like may have been revealed. An image has been found on a French Tolkien Facebook page, showing an ugly monster with a flat nose and sharp-pointed teeth which is rumored to be the Goblin chief. There's another picture that gives a look at what seems to be the Goblin King's minion.

The Goblin King in Peter Jackson's "Hobbit" film series is set to be portrayed by Australian thesp Barry Humphries. There's still no official word to confirm whether the found images are indeed how Humphries' beastly character will look like in the upcoming movie.

Meanwhile, TheOneRing.net translates the description of the Goblin King from a German action figure leak, explaining that the creature is "a huge, grotesquely bloated monster that in the years of his tyrannical rule over the miserable inhabitants of the Goblin town grew fat and flabby." The monster lives in a hut deep in the caves of the Misty Mountains. He commands a bunch of foul, polluted, with scars and ulcers studded goblins.

Furthermore, the Goblins are described as "bandits." They "live by what they can pick up from passengers on the passes through the mountains. The Goblin King and his followers manage to capture Bilbo and the dwarves." Despite his unflattering look, the Goblin King is smart and he enjoys torturing his prisoners. He almost succeeds to finish off Thorin Oakenshield and his companions.

The first "Hobbit" movie will be released in the U.S. on December 14 this year. Its follow up, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" will open next year on December 13, while the final installment "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" is set to arrive in cinemas on July 18, 2014.
