Alicia Keys' 'Girl on Fire' Ft. Nicki Minaj Arrives in Full
Music

The 'Fallin'' singer pairs up with the Young Money first lady in the inferno remix and sings solo in another version.

AceShowbiz - Just a couple of days ago, singer/songwriter Alicia Keys released a sneak peek of her song "Girl on Fire" through a short 30-second video. Now, a full inferno remix of the song featuring Nicki Minaj is available for all her fans to hear.

Apart from the inferno remix which features the "Superbass" rapper in two verses, another version of the same song featuring Key's vocals alone has been uploaded in YouTube. The song will be included in her fifth studio album of the same name "Girl on Fire". The song will be available via iTunes starting September 4, and the album will be available in record stores on November 27.

Last month, Keys excitedly announced her song and album on her site by saying, "I'm in the studio right now working away on my new album and I am SO excited!!! I'm ignited!!! I'm like a match to a flame! I've had the title of this album in my mind for a long time... It's been hard to hold it back and now I'm not holding it back anymore! It is called Girl on Fire!!! And that's exactly how I feel!!!"

True enough, the song's lyrics is full of empowerment spirit. "She's just a girl, and she's on fire/ Hotter than a fantasy, longer like a highway," part of the lyrics reads. "Oh, she got both feet on the ground and she's burning it down."

Keys also said in an interview that her album was made to take her fans on a new journey. "So being a new mom, a new wife, being a woman who's really trying to find herself, take control of my life, my business, my world, I think that there comes a certain point in life where you realize that you know you can really choose the life that you want, and so it's really about that journey and kind of finding that bravery, finding that inner-strength to trust yourself, believe in yourself and know that you really have all the tools," she said.

The 31-year-old R&B singer is scheduled to perform the said song at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards which will be held at Staples Center this coming Thursday, September 6. Other VMA performers include five-time VMA nominee Rihanna, controversial rap singer Frank Ocean, country superstar Taylor Swift, and "F**kin' Perfect" songstress Pink among others.
