Song selections for Kanye West's much-anticipated compilation album "Cruel Summer" have been revealed via Tower Records and HMV Japan. The album is expected to feature 12 tracks and to be released on September 18 after being pushed back a couple of times.

Some tracks on the said album have already been played in radio stations, including "Mercy" which features Big Sean, Pusha T, Kanye and 2 Chainz. The said song has already been performed at the BET Awards in Los Angeles earlier this year as well.

Apart from having G.O.O.D Music artists, the album will also carry songs by musicians from other labels, Ma$e, Marsha Ambrosius, R. Kelly, Jadakiss, and The-Dream. One artist who seems to be missing from the list is Mos Def.

Mos Def was supposed to have a track in the album as hinted in two of Malik Yusef's tweets. "We just landed, let's just say this our place of POWER #goodmusic," he tweeted. "@jacobscottnolan yeah it looks like a push back, on #CRUELSUMMER but our wish has 4 additional features has MOSt DEFinitely been granted."

The cover of the said album has already been decided prior to being delayed. Kanye West even posted on Twitter the cover art with its supposed release date. It features a woman carved in stone covering her chest with her bare hands.
