The singer/songwriter is building much anticipation for her performance at the 29th annual MTV Video Music Awards by releasing a preview of her latest track, 'Girl on Fire'.

AceShowbiz - R&B singer-slash-songwriter Alicia Keys gives viewers a sneak peek of what they're about to see on September 6 as she steps on the stage of Staples Center for this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The "Fallin'" singer will debut her new single "Girl on Fire" at the event and has released a snippet of the song in a VMAs promo.

The 30-second video starts with a piano melody, and shortly thereafter is followed by Keys' voice with her new song played as backsound. She says, "My hands are on the keys. Tonight you will feel the power of my voice. Watch me reveal what's within. I'll show you everything. This is the moment."

The full track will hit iTunes and will be heard over the radio on September 4. It will be included in her fifth studio record of the same name, "Girl on Fire", that will be released in the United States on November 27.

In addition to working on her own album, Keys collaborated with 50 Cent and Dr. Dre for another single entitled "New Day". The song is said to be featured in Fiddy's newest album "Street King Immortal" which is expected to hit the stands on November 13.

Another version of the song featuring Keys alone will be listed in her new CD. The 14-time Grammy award winner will also include songs which she recorded and made by collaborating with other artists such as Krucial, Babyface and Jeff Bhasaker.

The 29th annual MTV VMAs will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart. Besides Keys, it will be graced by performances from Green Day, Pink, One Direction, Taylor Swift and more.
