'LeAnn wants me to like her and she was mad because I won't,' Kimberly Smiley thought a reason why Rimes launched a lawsuit against her.

AceShowbiz - The high school special education teacher that LeAnn Rimes is suing said the actress is trying to bully her. Kimberly Smiley, who is accused by Rimes of deliberately recording their private phone conversation, said "What are they expecting? Does she want my house?"

Rimes is suing Smiley for the "making of the unauthorized recording and the posting of it and edited excerpts of it on various websites have resulted in a public and damaging depiction of Ms. Rimes." The conversation happened in March and Rimes had no idea it was recorded until it appeared online. She is seeking more than $25,000 in damages.

In a statement to Radar Online, Smiley said, "People that LeAnn know have threatened me multiple times, telling me that they're going to come to my work and say bad things about me. I'm a teacher, why would they come to my work?" She recalled the conversation as being scary, saying "Her words shocked me and scared me on that call. I was afraid because she was getting so angry. It shocked me and scared me."

In conclusion, Smiley thought the reason Rimes is attacking her is because she did not get what she wanted. "She was trying to bully me back then and she is now," Smiley said. "LeAnn wants me to like her and she was mad because I won't. I do not like her. What would give her any clue that I was going to like her just because she called me?"

Rimes is in a rehab to seek help for emotional distress.
