AceShowbiz - Although a Russell Brand source insisted that he and Geri Halliwell were just friends, romance rumors between them wouldn't go away. In a new picture, the British funnyman was seen leaving Geri's home in London on Wednesday, August 29.
Geri was spotted wearing a camisole tucked inside her tight-fitting denims. She was in the doorway with Russell standing behind her. He donned an unbuttoned dark-colored jacket, jeans and boots.
The "Brand X with Russell Brand" host and the Spice Girls singer sparked dating rumors after they were caught on camera going out together at Hampton Court Palace. "Geri was holding his hand the same way I hold my wife's. It was so cute," an onlooker told The Sun.
Russell bonded with the Ginger Spice backtage at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games on August 12. "It's like going back to 1996. I've got a massive crush on Geri Halliwell, so everything in the world was as it should be," he said of meeting her.
Another source told Us Weekly, "A few media are prematurely reporting that they are in a serious relationship, (but it's) a little early for all that type of speculation." Without denying that the couple were getting to know each other, a second source added, "They're testing the waters."
After splitting from Katy Perry, Russell was romantically linked to Isabella Brewster, a sister of Brazilian-American actress Jordana Brewster. He reportedly broke up with his American girlfriend to be with Geri and has already had a string of dates with the British beauty.
