'Lindsay is glad this matter has been cleared up so she can focus on her upcoming projects,' a representative says.

AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan can now breathe a sigh of relief after it's announced that she won't be charged in a case of missing valuable goods at her friend's home in Los Angeles. A representative for LiLo says the "Liz & Dick" actress is happy with the news.

"Lindsay is glad this matter has been cleared up so she can focus on her upcoming projects. It is unfortunate that many media outlets were quick to point fingers and jump to conclusions without having all the facts," the representative says.

L.A. County Deputy District Attorney Deborah L. Kranze explains the decision not to charge LiLo, "We do not have sufficient evidence to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt." According to the prosecutor, LiLo has a "longstanding relationship" with the owner of the house Sam Magid.

Earlier reports suggested the stolen goods were expensive watches and sunglasses worth of $100,000, but District Attorney rep Sandi Gibbons dismisses the story. "According to evidence presented to us to review, the property loss was $6,400. None of it was jewelry," she clarifies.

The missing items included "$3,000 in cash, four pairs of sunglasses, an iPod and some keys to two cars and a house," but none of them was in the possession of Lindsay or her assistant Gavin Doyle. In addition to lack of evidence, potential eyewitnesses refused to get involved in the case.

Lindsay was entangled in the alleged home burglary because she was one of the guests at the house where the jewelries were reported missing. Just one day ago, it was reported that cops were seeking to formally question LiLo and Gavin because they were suspects.
