AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez moans about her boring life in the first ever clip for "Spring Breakers". Lying in a room with her girl gang, Selena can be seen whining, "I'm so tired of seeing the same thing every single day." Meanwhile, Vanessa Hudgens doesn't seem to pay attention as she's busy shooting random things with her fingers.
Directed by Harmony Korine, "Spring Breakers" has been stealing attention due to its starry cast ensemble that includes popstars Selena and Vanessa, as well as James Franco. Also joining them in the coming-of-age movie are Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine and Heather Morris.
In it, four sexy college girls plan to fund their spring break getaway by burglarizing a fast food shack. However, that's only the beginning. During a night of partying, the girls hit a roadblock when they are arrested on drug charges.
Hungover and clad only in bikinis, the girls appear before a judge but are bailed out unexpectedly by Alien (Franco), an infamous local thug who takes them under his wing and leads them on the wildest spring break trip in history. Rough on the outside but with a soft spot inside, Alien wins over the hearts of the young spring breakers, and leads them on a spring break they never could have imagined.
"Spring Breakers" is expected to be released in the U.S. sometime in 2013. Before hitting cinemas Stateside, the film is scheduled to take part in the competition lineup of the 2012 Venice Film Festival, which will run from August 26 to September 8.
