First Clip for Emma Watson's 'Perks of Being a Wallflower'
Movie

Watson tries to comfort shy guy Logan Lerman, who is not sure as to why he gets toasted by Ezra Miller during a party.

AceShowbiz - Emma Watson welcomes Logan Lerman to her gang in the first clip of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". Debuted via MTV, the snippet shows Lerman gets toasted by Ezra Miller during a party. Looking confused as to why Miller does so, Lerman replies, "I didn't think anyone noticed me." Watson tries to comfort the shy guy by saying that he's welcomed in the group.

Adapted from Stephen Chbosky's 1999 novel of the same name, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" centers on Lerman's Charlie, an introverted high school freshman who slowly comes out of his shell thanks to his new friends, Sam (Watson) and Patrick (Miller). He is introduced to the awkward times of adolescence, including drug use and sexuality.

Watson recently shared her experience in playing free-spirited Sam in the coming-of-age drama. Recalling the time when she filmed a scene where she had to dance in skimpy lingerie, the English actress said, "I was very nevous to that stuff. It was tough."

The "Harry Potter" actress went on sharing to E! News that she was worried about speaking in American accent for the first time. "I really wanted to get that right," she said. "But Logan and Ezra were very instructive. If I ever said anything that sounded weird, they were like, 'That's not right!' and we would fix it."

To be released in the U.S. on September 21, the novel-adapted movie is also supported by Paul Rudd, Nina Dobrev, Mae Whitman, Johnny Simmons, Melanie Lynskey, Kate Walsh and Dylan McDermott. Serving behind the lens is none other than author Chbosky himself.
