Words are, cops are seeking to formally interview LiLo and Gavin Doyle in the alleged theft that occured in a Los Angeles house belonging to Sam Magid.

AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan's probation stemming from a case of missing necklace at a Venice jewelry store might be in jeopardy. After a week of investigation, LiLo, along with her assistant Gavin Doyle, reportedly is a suspect in an alleged home robbery reported in Los Angeles earlier this month.

According to TMZ, Sam Magid, the owner of the house where LiLo and Gavin partied, has backtracked his story and now says nothing was stolen. It's unclear why he, who was initially determined that someone stole his $100,000 worth of watches and sunglasses, now changes his tune.

Cops, however, continue their investigation and allegedly have witnesses who can prove that the singer/actress and her assistant are the ones stealing the goods. Rumor has it, they are now seeking to formally question LiLo and Gavin, but their request is rejected by their lawyer so far.

Just a day after the theft was reported, LiLo flew out of El Lay to New York where her mother Dina resides. Back then, her rep said she was never formally questioned by police and insisted that her trip to the Big Apple was planned a week before the alleged burglary happened.
