'This has been the most amazing week. I can't believe how incredible you guys are,' Swift tweets after her song 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' nabs the first spot on Billboard Hot 100.

AceShowbiz - After three studio albums and more than 20 singles, Taylor Swift has finally nabbed her first chart-topper on Billboard Hot 100 with her latest single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together". The lead single off her upcoming effort "Red" leaps from No. 72 to the summit of the chart, a week after it was released on August 14.

Taking to her Twitter to express her feelings about the latest feat, the country music singer wrote, "#1 on Billboard's Hot 100!!?! This has been the most amazing week. I can't believe how incredible you guys are. (Jumping up and down)." She was previously only able to reach No. 2 with "You Belong With Me" (2009) and "Today Was a Fairytale" (2010).

"Never Ever Getting Back Together" reaches the coveted spot after selling 623,000 downloads in a week, according to SoundScan. The sum sets a new record in one-week digital sales by a female artist, surpassing the 448,000 downloads Lady GaGa sold in a week with "Born This Way". It is also the second best overall, placing behind Flo Rida's "Right Round" which sold 636,000 in a week.

In "Never Ever Getting Back Together", Swift sings about her being over with her on-and-off boyfriend. "It's pretty difficult to come up with them because I know that you guys are going to figure it out," she talked about the lyrics which would spark speculations on whom the guy was. "I'm really excited about the fact that you guys care about lyrics. Hiding little codes in lyrics is kind of a way of encouraging that."
