The former off-screen lovers, who play the main couple in the 'Twilight' film series, and their co-star Taylor Lautner opt out of attending the final four official conventions for the movie franchise.

AceShowbiz - Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are not going to reunite for a public appearance anytime soon. The on-screen couple, whose real-life romance was recently rocked by the actress' cheating scandal, have decided to skip the final four official "Twilight" conventions. Pattinson and Stewart's co-star Taylor Lautner will not attend the events as well.

"The passion and dedication of Twilight fandom has been amazing and we're out to throw one last giant convention, a final gathering to see old friends that have made up the Twilight family," Creation Entertainment states.

Announcing the absence of the "Twilight" trio, the company adds, "Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out we will have a super line-up of other Twilight stars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!"

The conventions are scheduled to take place on the weekends leading to the release of "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II". It will bring the stars to San Antonio on August 25, Detroit on September 29, Parsippany, NJ on October 5, and Los Angeles on November 3.

The final installment of the "Twilight" film franchise itself is set to bow in theaters across the U.S. on November 16. Summit Entertainment previously said that it would go "full steam ahead" to promote the last "Twilight" film despite the personal issues faced by its two leading stars, Pattinson and Stewart.
