AceShowbiz - Rihanna is dropped as a spokesmodel for Nivea more than a year after being signed. The singer is branded "too sexy" by CEO of Nivea's parent company Beiersdorf, and she quickly responds by posting a picture of the executive with message, "No caption necessary."
Stefan Heidenreich tells German newspaper Welt that Riri's raunchy image doesn't fit the brand. "Rihanna is a no go," he says. "I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna. Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability."
Riri was announced as a new face of Nivea just in time for its "100 Years Skincare for Life" campaign. In the ad, she posed topless while crossing her arms on her chest and smiling radiantly to the camera with a beautiful fresh face.
Her sexy song "California King Bed" was also featured in Nivea's campaign video. "We are excited to have Rihanna supporting us in our celebration and building a new generation of fans," the company said back then.
