Words are, 20th Century Fox is arranging a new deal with Marvel Studios to prevent the 'Daredevil' rights from being reverted to Walt Disney Pictures.

AceShowbiz - 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios are reportedly revising their deal on the "Daredevil" reboot film. The project has been put on hold for a while, but Fox is now said to be working out a new arrangement that allows it to own the rights to the "DD" franchise past its October 10 deadline, Variety has reported.
Fox has to move fast to start the production of the Matt Murdock story before this fall or the rights will revert to Marvel and Walt Disney Pictures. Insiders reveal that the studio is already in talks with "The Grey" helmer Joe Carnahan to helm the long-gestating superhero movie, which has been described as a "Frank Miller-esque, hardcore 70s thriller."
Details of the revised deal between Fox and Marvel are still unclear. Variety initially states that both companies will likely do some horse-trading with its "Fantastic Four" franchise to keep the "Daredevil" gig going. It is said that Marvel wants the use of "Fantastic Four" villains Galactus and Silver Surfer.
However, the speculation has quickly been dismissed by Deadline. An insider tells the site that the talks between Fox and Marvel are not about swapping the rights to Galactus and Silver Surfer in order to save the "DD" project. Moreover, the site stresses that Fox is making "Fantastic Four" a big priority and the studio won't give away "a cornerstone villain it could use now or down the line."
Back in July, during the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, it was rumored that Fox was in danger to lose its property for the "Daredevil" reboot if the long-gestating project was still not underway by fall. The problem rooted since David Slade decided to exit the gig earlier this year.
While the fate of "Daredevil" remains uncertain, Fox has confirmed that "Fantastic Four" would be its next Marvel property to be set for production. Moving forward with the production, the untitled New Fantastic Four project has officially tapped "Chronicle" helmer Josh Trank as its director.
