Teen Choice Awards 2012: 'Hunger Games' and 'Breaking Dawn I' Are Big Winners in Movie

While 'Hunger Games' takes home the most kudos, the penultimate chapter of the 'Twilight Saga' series grabs the coveted Ultimate Choice Award, which marks the franchise's 41st TCAs gong.

AceShowbiz - Winners of the 2012 Teen Choice Awards have been revealed on Sunday, July 22. In movie field, "The Hunger Games" became a big winner by claiming the most gongs. Still, the most coveted Ultimate Choice Award went to "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I", which also bagged multiple kudos during the event.

"Hunger Games" won the Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie prize, while also bringing its lead stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson as the Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie Actor and Actress respectively. The two also won the Choice Liplock prize. Meanwhile, Liam Hemsworth and Alexander Ludwig grabbed the Male Scene Stealer and Villain awards respectively.

Though taking home less kudos compared to "Hunger Games", "Breaking Dawn I" was the one which stole the spotlight during the event. Claiming Choice Romance Movie and Romance Actress, the penultimate chapter of the "Twilight Saga" film series also broke a record as it bagged the Ultimate award, which marked the franchise's 41st surfboard-shaped TCAs gong.

The franchise's lead actors, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were all on hand to pick up the "lifetime achievement award" version of the teen-fueled show. Thanking Twihards for the big achievement, Lautner gushed, "It's amazing you guys are still around and just as strong and just as loyal."

Other multiple winners at this year's TCAs included Emma Stone who took home Choice Drama and Comedy Actress trophies, Zac Efron who won Choice Drama and Romance Actor kudos, and Kristen Stewart who claimed Choice Romance Actress and Movie Star of the Summer prizes. Rihanna and Taylor Swift, meanwhile, snatched Choice Movie Breakout and Choice Movie Voice awards respectively.

Taking place at at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Teen Choice Awards 2012 was hosted by Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale. Host Lovato said that 134 million votes were cast for the 14th annual awards.
