The former fiancee of Brad Womack makes up her mind before the final day, dumping Arie Luyendyk, Jr. before he proposes to her.

AceShowbiz - Emily Maynard made her final choice between Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk, Jr. in "The Bachelorette" season 8 finale which aired on Sunday, July 22. Before that, she took the guys to meet her family in Willemstad, Curacao. Jef was the first who met her parents.

Emily's mother had a chat with Jef, telling him that she didn't want Emily to get hurt again. Jef assured her that he really fell in love with Emily and was ready to be a father for Ricki. Emily's mother was impressed. After a one-on-one chat with Emily's brother Ernie as well as with her father, Jef got the family's approval.

Next, Arie showed up with a box of roses that Emily had given to him. He admitted that he was really nervous. Emily's mother took him aside for a chat to find out if he was in it for the right reason. Arie said he has fallen so hard for Emily. To Emily's father, Arie claimed he couldn't imagine losing her.

After the family meetings with Jef and Arie, Emily asked her parents about their opinion on the two guys. Emily's family liked both guys and couldn't find anything wrong with either of them. Emily said she's in love with both men, but her father didn't believe she could fall in love with two people at the same time.

Emily also discussed about introducing the guys to her daughter Ricki. Her mother told her to wait until she's engaged to one of the guys before she took the guy to meet Ricki.

Later, Emily had one final date with Jef on the beach. Jef said he wanted to meet Ricki, but Emily said she's unsure about letting either of the men to meet her daughter. Claiming it wasn't planned, Emily eventually brought Jef to meet the six-year-old girl.

Ricki was playing in the pool when Jef came and later joined her. They seemed to have fun and Emily said she didn't regret her decision to introduce Jef to Ricki, believing he would be a great dad.

Emily then visited Jef in his room. During a dinner, she told him that Ricki asked if he could return the next day. Jef also gave Emily a book about their journey together on the show.

The next morning, Emily talked to host Chris Harrison about her feelings and how she cared about one guy more than the other. Chris advised her to tell the truth to Arie, who was confident that he was going to get engaged by the end of the show.

When they met, Emily started crying as she tried to explain the situation. Claiming that she had felt for him from the first date, she admitted that she didn't know about her feelings anymore. Arie didn't understand what changed and admitted he's very shocked. He told her not to speak anymore and kissed her goodbye. He wished her good luck and left in a car, while Emily was still crying.

To the camera, Arie said he felt stupid. He felt he's a loving person and he gave more that what he got. He also admitted that he misjudged Emily.

In the studio, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum discussed Emily's decision. DeAnna Papas was also there and supported Emily, while Michael Stagliano said he could understand Arie's feelings right now.

The scenes then showed Jef picking out an engagement ring at Neil Lane. He admitted he's unsure if she would accept his proposal. Emily waited for him on stage, and once they met, she revealed that she didn't go on a final date with Arie and that she only introduced Ricki to Jef.

Jef felt so lucky and proposed to Emily with the ring. He got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Without a doubt, she said "yes." Her daughter Ricki then joined them on the stage.
