At the panel taking place this Sunday, July 15, stars Anna Torv and Lance Reddick get tearful as they recall their favorite scenes from the sci-fi series.

AceShowbiz - Sunday, July 15 could be the last time "Fringe" cast came to San Diego Comic-Con to promote the show, which will have its final season aired this fall. On hand for the panel were main cast members, including Joshua Jackson, Anna Torv and John Noble, showrunner Joel Wyman as well as executive producer J.H. Wyman.

Though filming for the fifth season will only begin next week, there are some new footage included in a trailer that was screened during the panel. It sees the Fringe team being released from the amber. Peter has a reunion with his grown-up daughter, Anna is very much alive and has a sweet conversation with Peter, while the Observers begin terrorizing the world. In another scene, Walter says he knows how to save the world.

Wyman said the trailer was shot as a sales pitch to get the show a season 5. "We had to get the actors who worked incredibly long hours to go and shoot for a season that they had no idea what it was about or [knew] would happen," he revealed.

Confirming that the upcoming season would pick up a day after the story in episode 19 of season 4, Wyman claimed he knew how the show would end. "Truthfully, I had two and a half versions of what we thought we should do for the end," he admitted. "I sort of decided three months ago... and it was very clear [how it was going to end]."

Wyman additionally said it would "become apparent this year" why there are no female Observers. Meanwhile, asked if Peter and Olivia would have a happy ending, Jackson gave a vague answer, "I think these two will get their final chapter of their story."

There were also a tearful moment when Torv and Lance Reddick opened up about their favorite scene. "You can't go out and tell anybody this happened," Reddick jokingly said with teary eyes after recalling a scene she shared with Jasika Nicole and her double.

The abbreviated fifth and last season of "Fringe" will premiere Friday, September 28 at 9 P.M. on FOX.
