'You know that at the end of 'The Avengers', we left New York in tatters. And while there's plenty of clean-up, one very important item was left behind,' the actor said.

AceShowbiz - Robert Downey Jr. appeared in a video which was played during Marvel's Blu-ray event for "The Avengers" at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 13 night. The Iron Man depicter greeted specific group of fans from one of the lavatory units at the "Iron Man 3" North Carolina set.

"I am coming to you live from a bathroom stall in Wilmington, North Carolina, where I am prepping to shoot the very famous toilet escape sequence from Iron Man 3. I'd like to congratulate you for being here, sitting where you are today, as am I, dropping a water moccasin," Downey Jr. said, holding a microphone while sitting on a toilet.

He was there to introduce "Item 47", a short film which will be attached to the home video release. Approximately 10 minutes long, the film takes place after the events of "The Avengers" and follows a young couple played by Jesse Bradford and Lizzy Caplan. The couple discovers how to use an alien weapon left behind by the Chitauri and uses it to rob a bank. Two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, played by Titus Welliver and Maximiliano Hernandez, track them down.

"So everyone's seen 'The Avengers', right?" Downey Jr. said in his intro. "You know that at the end of 'The Avengers', we left New York in tatters. And while there's plenty of clean-up, one very important item was left behind. So I'll let you see it for yourself - this exclusive short film directed by my dear friend and Marvel co-president - isn't that synchronistic - Louis DEsposito."

The audience were able to watch "Item 47" after they completed a scavenger hunt involving hints of where the screening would take place. The first 300 to arrive at United Artist 14 Theater in San Diego's Westfield Plaza were treated with the short film's screening as well as a short Q & A session with the cast and crew.
