'I can promise you that before the end of Comic-Con, some exclusive Star Trek footage, it's going to come out,' the 'Dredd' actor reveals.

AceShowbiz - When will fans have a chance to see the first footage of J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" sequel? According to one of its actors Karl Urban, it will happen in a foreseeable future. The Bones depicter spills to Coming Soon that though the sequel is a no-show at the convention, it will screen its first footage before the annual event is over.

"I can promise you that before the end of Comic-Con, some exclusive Star Trek footage, it's going to come out. You're going to find it. It's going to come out," says Urban, who served as the host for the Master of the Web panel on the Day 1 of Comic-Con. He also teases that there will be a "secret" video from "Star Trek 2" on YouTube that is set to be dropped soon.

This is not the first time the "Dredd" actor reveals a detail about the highly-secretive movie. A few days ago, he also let slip that Benedict Cumberbatch's long-speculated villainous character was none other than Gary Mitchell.

"He's awesome, he's a great addition, and I think his Gary Mitchell is going to be exemplary," so he revealed when asked by SFX how he felt to work with the "War Horse" actor. After sparking controversy over the revelation, the New Zealander admits that he was jet-lagged when doing the interview.

"I'm really not at liberty to discuss anything about Star Trek. All I can say is that I did that interview after a 22-hour flight from New Zealand," he confesses to Coming Soon. "I literally hopped off the plane into the interview."

Due to open in the U.S. on May 17, 2013, the untitled Star Trek sequel will also bring back Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg and John Cho as Spock, Uhura, James T. Kirk, Pavel, Scotty and Hikaru Sulu respectively.
