'The Vampire Diaries' Casts 'Chicago Code' Alum as New Vampire Hunter

Todd Williams will recur in the fourth season of the CW drama series as vampire hunter Connor who is described as being 'mysterious' and 'powerful.'

AceShowbiz - Before hitting San Diego Comic-Con, a casting scoop from the next season of "The Vampire Diaries" has come out. It has been confirmed that Todd Williams, who is best known for his role as Isaac Joiner on "The Chicago Code", will join the supernatural drama series in a major recurring role.

The actor, who also appeared in two seasons of "In Plain Sight", will portray Connor, whom executive producer Julie Plec described as "a mysterious and powerful new vampire hunter who comes to Mystic Falls." His character will first appear in the second episode of the fourth season.

"TVD" will return with all-new episodes starting Thursday, October 11 at 8 P.M. on The CW. The show will be presented at Comic-Con on Saturday, July 14 at 3:30-4:15 P.M. in Ballroom 20, with Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and more stars slated to show up.
