Comic-Con 2012: New Sneak Peeks at 'Dexter' Season 7 and 'Homeland' Season 2 Unveiled

The first two minutes of 'Dexter' season 7 opener see Debra's reaction to the shocking finding and how the serial killer explains what he's doing to Travis.

On the first day of San Diego Comic-Con, Showtime treated attendees of its panel to first look at new sneak peeks of "" season 7 and "" season 2. The "Dexter" preview has been officially released online, sharing the first two minutes of the premiere episode.

The snippet features some bleeps as Debra reacts to what she sees in the church. Dexter tells some lies to explain what he did to Travis, but his sister seemingly doesn't trust him and is going to call the station. The video ends with Dexter saying, "No!"

After the snippet was screened at the panel, the show's cast appeared on stage, including guest star . She explained her character Hannah McKay was going to help Dexter in an investigation in an old murder mystery.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly before the panel, the "" alumna teased, "Hannah McKay is a woman who is haunted by a very dark past. [Her relationship with Dexter] could be all of the above or none of the above."

While the "Dexter" clip has gone online, the "Homeland" trailer hasn't. The preview contains spoilerish new footage as it reveals that [SPOILER ALERT!] Carrie now lives as a teacher, but that only lasts until Saul calls her and asks for her help. She is later sent for a three-day undercover mission in Beirut, which soon goes awry.

Having won the election, Brody is now a U.S. Congressman. At one point in the video, he tries to convince a woman by saying, "I am not a terrorist. I am a U.S. Congressman."

During a Q&A session, executive producer Howard Gordon was asked about Carrie's mental illness. "That threat is always there. That danger and that gift is always part of the character," he replied. As for ' pregnancy, he confirmed that it would not be featured on the show.
