Channing Tatum Confirms 'Magic Mike 2' Already in Development
Movie

'We want to flip the script and make it bigger,' so the husband of Jenna Dewan says of the follow-up movie, which concept is currently being developed.

AceShowbiz - Channing Tatum is ready to strip off in front of the camera once again as he confirms that another "Magic Mike" movie is already in the works. Speaking to Glamour UK, the husband of Jenna Dewan gushes that the follow-up movie is going to be bigger than the first one, which has just been released last June 29.

"Yes, yes and yes!" so the Alabama-bon hunk excitedly answers when asked if fans could see "Magic Mike 2" sometime in the future. "We're working on the concept now," he reveals, "We want to flip the script and make it bigger."

Though details of the follow-up movie are still unclear, Joe Manganiello once hinted that it would likely be a prequel instead of a sequel. "We're actually talking about the possibility of doing the prequel," the Big Dick Richie depicter recently told Hollywood.

"Because if you do the sequel, then you lose Mike [Tatum's character]," he reasoned. "Otherwise, what's Mike going to do? He's going to come back for one big heist... so, you would do the prequel - how they got there."

Made with a budget of merely $7 million, "Magic Mike" successfully collects over $72 million after three weeks of playing in the U.S. theaters. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the R-rated dramedy also stars Alex Pettyfer, Cody Horn, Olivia Munn, Matthew McConaughey, Matthew Bomer and Riley Keough.

As for Tatum, the 32-year-old actor has recently been in talks to produce and star in an untitled Evel Knievel biopic. To Glamour, the "21 Jump Street" star also gushed that he's interested to play Christian in the much-talked-about "Fifty Shades of Grey" film. "I'd only be allowed if my wife was Ana," he said. "She's read the books so I don't think she'd be impressed if she couldn't be Ana!"
