The album which boasts worldwide hit 'Yeah!' joins a few of CDs that have sold at least 10 million copies in the country.

AceShowbiz - R&B singer Usher's 2004 album "Confessions" hits the 10 million mark, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD sold 2,000 more copies during the week that ended July 1, and when added to previous sales, it totals to just a little over 10 million copies sold.

"Confessions" is the 19th album to sell at least 10 million copies since SoundScan started tracking data in 1991. The last album that achieved this was Eminem's "The Eminem Show" that sold its 10 millionth copy October last year.

The biggest selling record at the moment is Metallica's 1991 "Metallica" which has sold 15.8 million units so far. It is closely followed by Shania Twain's 1997 "Come On Over" which has sold 15.5 million. Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" is in third place, having sold 14.8 million since it was released in 1995.

"Confessions" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart when it was released on March 23, 2004. It sold 1.1 million copies in its first week and is one of 17 albums to do so. The record contains such hits as "Yeah!," "Burn," and "Confessions Part II". Those three songs all made it to top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.

Usher released his latest studio album "Looking 4 Myself" in the United States earlier this summer. It bowed at No. 1 on Hot 200 with 128,000 copies sold.
