The band's long-time publicist Maria Ferrero wanted to confirm that there was no such fight as reported on the media that later caused the death of a fan.

AceShowbiz - Lamb of God's singer Randall Blythe aka Randy was arrested in Prague on Wednesday, June 27 on manslaughter accusations. A publicist for the heavy metal band has issued a statement that it was all only a misunderstanding and no formal charges have been made.

It was initially reported that Randy was involved in an altercation with a man who kept rushing to the stage during the band's concert last month in Prague. The man later died of head injuries after ejected from the stage. If this version were true, Randy could face 10 years in prison on "the crime of bodily harm of 4th degree and resulting in the death of a fan".

In addition to Randy's brother Mark Blythe's denial that Randy is already charged, publicist Maria Ferrero wrote in an email to the press, "As no formal charges have yet been made and the case is only in the investigation stages, it would be premature to make an official statement filled with false truths or innuendos."

She continued, "Having said that, management wished to address today one false piece of information that has been included in many of the news stories released so far. Under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind involved. This incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head."

"Again, until the investigation is concluded this weekend, nothing more will be released, but clarity and the facts needed to be addressed on this one reported point which is totally inaccurate."

The band's Thursday show at the Rock Cafe in Prague has been canceled as Randy was brought in to police station for questioning. The Friday night show in Germany is still listed on their Facebook page.
