Words have run rampant that Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures will host a 'sick' panel for the long-awaited remake film to be directed by Gareth Edwards.

AceShowbiz - Rumor has it, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures are set to deliver a very big surprise at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. It was Latino Review which first broke the report that the studios would be hosting a Hall H panel for their long-awaited reboot film "Godzilla".

The site stated that "Godzilla" would be brought to Comic-Con to join Legendary's "Pacific Rim" directed by Guillermo del Toro. According to the site, the anticipated presentation is going to be "sick" because it will "stomp both the audio and video system within Hall H two weeks from this Saturday (June 30)."

Both Warners and Legendary have yet to issue an official confirmation regarding the report. The "Godzilla" reboot has Gareth Edwards serving as the director, while Max Borenstein is currently re-writing the screenplay from David S. Goyer.

While it is still uncertain whether or not the "Godzilla" panel rumor is true, Comic-Con has announced its official movie panel schedule for Day 1. "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" will be the opening panel at Hall H, while "Frankenweenie", "Oz: The Great and Powerful", "Wreck-It Ralph" and "The Expendables 2" follow later on the day.
