Mia Wasikowska NOT In Talks for 'Catching Fire', Romeo Miller and Kevin Nash May Join
Movie

While Wasikowska claims she's not in negotiation to play Johanna Mason, Miller and Nash reveal to media that they are in discussion with Lionsgate Films to join the 'Hunger Games' sequel.

AceShowbiz - "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is apparently still in search to find its Johanna Mason. In contrary to the swirling rumor that Mia Wasikowska is in negotiations to play the mean-spirited female tribute from District 7, it is now confirmed that the "Alice in Wonderland" actress is not vying for the part.

A representative for Wasikowska tells Entertainment Weekly that the 22-year-old actress has "neither been approached for the role, nor would be able to play it given other film commitments she has for 2012." On the other hand, model/actress Zoe Aggeliki, who is also rumored to be in the mix for Johanna, has yet to make any confirmation about her casting news.

While it is confirmed that Wasikowska wouldn't join the sequel to "The Hunger Games", other actors revealed that they have had some discussions with Lionsgate Films to star in the upcoming film. One of them was Romeo Miller a.k.a Lil' Romeo, who recently told MTV News that he could join "Catching Fire".

"You can see me in 'The Hunger Games' or something like that. Just throwing that out there," so Miller hinted when discussing his forthcoming movie project. "I actually just met with Lionsgate about that, so you may be seeing me in one of the 'Hunger Games'. That's all I'm saying."

The "Madea's Witness Protection" star went on teasing, "Not a particular role, we just had a meeting, seeing if it was something I was interested in. I can't really talk too much, or they'll kill me. You know how 'The Hunger Games' is."

The other actor who was linked to "Catching Fire" was Kevin Nash. When attending the premiere of "Magic Mike" on Sunday, June 24, the wrestler-turned-actor told USA Today that he's in discussion to tackle a role in the anticipated movie. "I just pray it's recurring, that he doesn't get killed," he teased. NextMovie later speculated that Nash was eyed to star as Brutus, a 40-something District 2 champion who volunteers for the third Quarter Quell victors bout.

In "Catching Fire", Katniss and Peeta will be forced to compete in a special 75th staging of the Hunger Games, where they must fight against past winners. Slated for a November 22, 2013 release in the U.S., the film will bring back Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth as Katniss, Peeta and Gale respectively.
