Sharing his exciting experience in starring opposite an animated Teddy bear for the comedy movie, Wahlberg says, 'With a Teddy bear, there are no ego problems and you only need one take.'

AceShowbiz - Mark Wahlberg is happy to have a foul-mouthed Teddy bear as his co-star in "Ted". The "Contraband" actor, who must act opposite the animated doll in the film, says that his inanimate co-star is much easier to work with than real actors.
"It's easier than working with another actor," the 41-year-old thesp tells New York Daily News. "Actors are a pain in the a**. With a Teddy bear, there are no ego problems and you only need one take."
Explaining how he shot the scenes with the bear, which is voiced by Seth MacFarlane, Wahlberg says, "They'd have a little stick there with a couple of dots on it for the eyes and I'd just have to visualize that the bear was there." He recalls, "It took some getting used to but in the end it was a great experience."
The "Pain and Gain" star unveils that the hardest part of filming "Ted" was when he had to do a fight scene with the bear. "I didn't actually fight the bear so it was just me flailing around," he says. "That one I felt pretty damn ridiculous doing, I'll be honest with you. I was just fake-fighting myself. It wasn't fun. But people love the scene."
However, Wahlberg claims that fake-fighting himself is better than doing a musical film. Insisting that he would never take a role in a musical pic, the former rapper says, "I'll do anything but a musical. I'm done with that. No more singing."
Speaking about MacFarlane, who also serves as the director and screenwriter, the Micky Ward of "The Fighter" has nothing but praises. "I've done a lot of movies and I can sit in a room with someone and get a good idea about whether they will be able to pull it off or not and I could tell just by meeting with him that he was going to be a good director," he gushes. "He's been doing his show for so long that he already knew the great cinematographers and editors to work with."
"Ted" follows Massachusetts-born John, a grown man who must deal with his teddy bear which comes to life as a result of a childhood wish. John refuses to leave his childish side ever since. The R-rated comedy film will arrive in theaters across the U.S. on June 29, the same day when another adult comedy movie "Magic Mike" opens nationwide.
