Rumor has it, the 'Bachelorette' star is not speaking to the parents of her late fiance Ricky Hendrick since they don't like their grandchild being in the spotlight.

AceShowbiz - Emily Maynard might be close to find her soul mate by starring on "The Bachelorette", but her participation in the show has reportedly strained her relationship with her daughter's grandparents. According to an insider, the parents of her late fiance Ricky Hendrick were "livid" that she signed up for the gig.

"Now they're not speaking," the source told Us Weekly, adding that they don't like the fact that their granddaughter Josephine Riddick Hendrick (Ricki) made appearances on the reality series. "They don't want their grandchild in the spotlight. They are private people... They didn't want Ricki uprooted. They also wanted Ricki kept out of the spotlight, not exploited."

The source went on noting that Ricki's grandparents "weren't pleased" when Emily joined "The Bachelor" season 15, but they still "supported her." Despite the alleged feud, the Hendricks are said to be still providing her with financial support.

Meanwhile, a so-called show insider claimed that Emily isn't the same sweet girl she was before she joined "The Bachelor". The source revealed that the blonde beauty "got difficult" after splitting from Brad Womack in 2011, and "she became a bit of a diva" when signing on to be the Bachelorette since "she knew she was the star."

"She is painted in this Mother Teresa light. She is a nice girl, but she isn't as good as she's made out to be," the insider went on gushing.

On "The Bachelorette" that airs on ABC every Monday, Emily has narrowed down the contestants to 8. In the latest episode, the mother of one lashed out at and dumped Kalon McMahon after he labelled her daughter "baggage."
