AceShowbiz - Getting closer to the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, some Hollywood studios are preparing their tentpole films to hold a Hall H panel at the annual convention. Though no official statements have been made, Variety has learned that Lionsgate-Summit will bring "The Twilight Saga's breaking Dawn Part II" to the "halliest of halls" this July.

Lionsgate Films will also bring its star-studded actioner "The Expendables 2" to Hall H. It is still unclear if the studio will introduce R-rated antihero film "Dredd" at its panel. On the other hand, it was rumored that Legendary Pictures will unveil a preview of Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim".

Walt Disney Pictures, meanwhile, will join forces with Marvel Studios to bring "Iron Man 3" to Hall H. Additionally, the Mouse House will introduce its upcoming animations such as "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Oz: The Great and Powerful", and possibly its anticipated Western flick "The Lone Ranger".

Warner Bros. Pictures, which has reserved a three-hour block on Saturday, July 14, is expected to anchor its presentation with "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and "Man of Steel". Unfortunately, the studio will not bring this summer's much awaited movie "The Dark Knight Rises" to the panel.

As for Sony Pictures, the studio will likely bring its bike-messenger actioner "Premium Rush", martial-arts comedy "Here Comes the Boom", and post-apocalyptic fantasy "After Earth" to Hall H. Sony is not expected to present anything related to "The Amazing Spider-Man", which will open in the U.S. on July 3 before the convention begins.

Aside from the studios which will take part in the big event, Variety revealed which ones that will miss the Hall H panel. According to the site, Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Relativity Media, DreamWorks and DreamWorks Animation are all skipping out on Hall H. Accordingly, J.J. Abrams' untitled Star Trek sequel will not join the convention. On the other hand, Universal Pictures still hasn't confirmed its participation.

This year's Comic-Con will run from July 11 to 15.
