Videos: Red Hot Chili Peppers Deliver Energetic Performances at Bonnaroo

The Anthony Kiedis-fronted band perform their singles such as 'Monarchy of Roses' and 'Scar Tissue' on the third day of the festival, before Alice Cooper kicks off his own set after midnight.

heated up the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival with a two-hour set on Saturday night, June 9. The band opened their performances with "Monarchy of Roses", the song lifted off their tenth and most-recent album, "".

"I feel peace and love and kindness everywhere I walk around here," bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary said on the stage. He also praised 's Friday night performances, calling it "so f***ing beautiful."

During the gig that marked their first appearance at the festival, the recently inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers also treated their fans to their classic songs such as "Give It Away", "Scar Tissue", "Under the Bridge" and their cover of 's "Higher Ground".

Also taking the stage on the third day of Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee were the likes of , and . The hip hop band paid tribute to the late Adam Yauch aka MCA by covering ' "Paul Revere" early on their "What Stage" set.

The Roots' founding member Questlove later introduced D'Angelo, who made his first U.S. appearance after more than a decade that night. "I've been waiting 12 years to say this. Ladies and gentlemen, D'Angelo," so the drummer exclaimed.

Cooper opened his set, which began just minutes after midnight, with a cover of 's "Born This Way". The rocker also performed his hits like "Eighteen", "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Billion Dollar Babies" before singing two songs from his latest album "".
