Rumor has it, the 'In the Land of Blood and Honey' helmer has an informal chat with Universal Pictures about directing the film adaptation of E.L. James' steamy novel.

AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie may be attached to "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie. As many people have been eager to find out who's going to direct and star in the big screen take on the E.L. James steamy novel, words have now run rampant that the longtime partner of Brad Pitt is eyeing to helm the much-talked-about film project.
Deadline has the words that the actress, who recently made her directorial debut with well-reviewed Bosnian war drama "In the Land of Blood and Honey", was having "a conversation or two" about directing the novel-adapted movie. Though so, the "Salt" actress hasn't had formal discussions with Universal Pictures.
It was reported that Universal noted if Jolie was interested with the gig, the formal talks would be held. The studio was said to be impressed by the A-lister's directorial debut. The Hollywood Reporter additionally said that there may have been an informal conversation between the two parties, but "nothing was real."
Jolie herself is currently busy with "Maleficent" at Walt Disney Pictures. She is said to be "completely focused" on the fairytale movie and "isn't entertaining other offers at this moment."
Being included in the New York Times bestseller list, "Fifty Shades of Grey" follows a 21-year-old female college student Anastasia, who has an S&M relationship with a wealthy entrepreneur named Christian. Their relationship deepens in the book's sequels, "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed".
