Donning a gold, sequined mini dress, the winner of 'American Idol' fourth season wows the audience with her vocal chops when singing the hit single, which clip wins the Video of the Year gong.

AceShowbiz - Aside from being the biggest winner at the 2012 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, June 6, Carrie Underwood cheered the audience with her musical performance. The 29-year-old country crooner sang her hit song "Good Girl", which music video won the coveted Video of the Year gong at the prize-giving event.

Donning a gold, sequined mini dress, the Oklahoma-born singer wowed the crowd with her stunning vocal chops. Before taking the stage, Underwood told CMT that her performance that night would be a little tricky. She said, "We get a little tricky here. There's a lot of lighting stuff."

"I can't move around a whole lot when I sing it because it takes so much out of me," she explained. "But we found a way to bypass that and make it look different and make it sound a little bit different and give people something new to enjoy."

Underwood won a total of two kudos at this year's CMT Music Awards. In addition to Video of the Year, the blond beauty took home the trophy for Collaborative Video of the Year, thanks to her collab with Brad Paisley in "Remind Me".

"The CMT Awards are all about the fans," she said. "It's about the music and the videos and the fans - and those are basically pretty much the three things that make up country music. It's really fun to have them determine what's going to happen throughout the course of the evening."
