The current President of the United States and the Republican nominee help stop the CMT Music Awards host fiasco.

AceShowbiz - Toby Keith and Kristen Bell's appearance before the crowd at the 11st Annual CMT Music Awards was preceded by a star-studded skit featuring President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney. While others were arguing, the two political men from opposite parties managed to agree on something.

The debate happened because Toby and Kristen refused to share the spotlight. "If I get to host alone, I will give each of you $1,000. I will babysit your kids," he said. Kristen, meanwhile, could host the show on her own because she "could do anything" including saying the alphabet backward.

The stars who weighed in on the issue included Jon Bon Jovi and Matthew McConaughey. When no solution was found, Obama and Romney stepped in. The former stated, "This is one of the toughest decisions I've had to make since I've been in office. I want them both." The latter said similar thing, "I just put two people back to work, you're welcome America."

2012 CMT Music Awards took place on Wednesday night, June 6 at the Bridgestone Arena, Tennessee. Carrie Underwood led the winner list by bagging two kudos; Collaborative Video of the Year (with Brad Paisley) and Video of the Year. Other winners included Scotty McCreery (Breakthrough Video of the Year), Luke Bryan (Male Video of the Year) and Miranda Lambert (Female Video of the Year).
