The Blaine depicter of 'Glee' feels honored for being chosen to replace the 'Raise Your Glass' hitmaker at the fundraising gala hosted by President Barack Obama.

AceShowbiz - Darren Criss is set to help President Barack Obama raise funds at the LGBT Leadership Council gala. The "Glee" star fills in the vacant spot left by Pink who was forced to bail out of the gig following her hospitalization.

":( I'm so bummed i can't perform for The President of the United States this Wed night.thanx @darrencriss for filling in for me!! #badtiming," the mother of one tweeted. "So now I've let down my daughter and the President. wow. great week."

In response, Criss joked, ":) So bummed I'll have to miss my dental appointment to sing for The US President Wed night. thanx @Pink for messin that up!! #greattiming.... But in all seriousness @Pink- what an honor! & while I'm at it, thanks for letting me sing your songs on glee :) hope we did ya justice!"

The LGBT fundraiser itself will take place Wednesday, June 6 at Beverly Hills' SLS Hotel. After the gig, Mr. President will attend a dinner at the home of "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy. Tickets are on sale for $40,000 per couple.

Obama previously voiced his support for the same-sex marriage when doing an interview with Robin Roberts for "Good Morning America". He said back then, "I've concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married."
