Though one insider says the ex-fiance of Ali Fedotowsky has signed a deal to star in the next season of 'The Bachelor', another source claims no decision has been made on the matter yet.

AceShowbiz - While ABC is still airing "The Bachelorette" season 8, the production team of "The Bachelor" is already looking for the next star. Words recently ran rampant that Roberto Martinez has been chosen to be the next Bachelor, but the report has been denied by an insider.

According to E! Online, the source insists that "nothing has been signed yet, but it will be finalized by the end of the summer." Additionally, it is reported that the network has been doing a casting search for unknowns, while examining if any of Emily Maynard's suitors on "The Bachelorette" can be the "Bachelor" star.

Rumor of Martinez's casting was first spread by Life & Style. The site claimed that a production insider told them the former fiance of Ali Fedotowsky has "already signed the contract." The source, moreover, said, "They chose him because he's very likable."

ABC has not denied nor confirmed the speculation as stating, "We don't comment on rumor and speculation." If Martinez is indeed chosen to be the next Bachelor, he will be the first non-white star on the show (not including the contestants).
