Margera is recovering in a hospital after undergoing the procedure and has to cancel a scheduled appearance in art show in Pennsylvania on Friday night, June 1.

AceShowbiz - Bam Margera has to stay in hospital after his latest stunt gone wrong. The "Jackass" star injured himself after taking a terrifying 100-foot tandem kayak dive off a waterfall in Oregon earlier this week with pro kayaker Steve Fisher.

"Just did a 100ft tandem kayak jump with pro kayaker Steve Fisher in Oregon!" the daredevil tweeted to his followers along with a picture of his doing the daring stunt. He additionally posted another photo which shows him posing in front of the waterfall.

Margera later informed he had "hernia operation after 100ft kayak drop." Without detailing how he got injured, he posted a picture of his lying on a hospital bed and being hooked on an IV drip. Although he looked banged up, he still gave a sign that he's doing OK by giving a thumb-up to the camera.

Due to his hospitalization, 32-year-old Margera was forced to cancel a scheduled appearance in an art show in Pennsylvania. He was supposed to attend the show on Friday night, June 1.

"Art show tonight in WC w/ John Hannafin, Gee &Mohawk. Chester County Historical Society - 225 N. High St. West Chester, PA - 5-9PM," he tweeted. "Can't make it to the show tonight, in hospital still. Phil, Ape & Boof will be there. Stop by if your in WC."

Margera himself is no stranger to getting into trouble for his outrageous stunts. Last February, he was arrested for his stunt during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. "I was just swimming in a pool with all my clothes on, and I refused to get out," he said. "No ticket. They just wanted to f**k with me, drunk Mardi Gras nonsense."

Last year, he was left devastated when fellow "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn was killed in a tragic car accident. "It was the worst phone call I ever got in my life waking up to that. I've never lost anybody that I cared about. It's my best friend," he said. "He was the happiest person ever, the smartest guy. He had so much talent, and he had so many things going for him. This is not right, not right."
