The Bruce Wayne/Batman of the 'Dark Knight' movie series spills his date with Barrymore, 'We went to see some bloody awful horror film.'

AceShowbiz - Christian Bale once dated Drew Barrymore, but it was only a one-time date. "The Dark Knight Rises" star, who turned 38 years old last January 30, revealed that he and the "Going the Distance" actress had a fling when they were teenage actors.
"We went to see some bloody awful horror film, and that was the end of it," the Bruce Wayne/Batman depicter opened up about their outing in an interview for June/July issue of GQ Australia. He added, "She never called again."
In addition to talking about his past love life, Bale shared how he felt now that he's close to hang his Bat suit. "I have been deeply honored to inhabit this character. It was a massive undertaking. Physically, emotionally, every way. But suddenly we were in the final throes. I sat down and asked for a little space. I stared at the cowl for a good long moment and thought, 'Man, this one really took on a life of its own," he said.
The actor, who once grabbed headlines with his angry tirade on the set of "Terminator Salvation", additionally said he put the past behind him. "You know, it is what it is... We make mistakes - and I've made plenty - and I understand the impression I give off. I get it. I'm also not one of these people who has no regrets. Of course I have regrets. Hindsight is 20/20 vision. But you have to move forward," he stated.
"Think about how strange and unfortunate it would be for my daughter if I couldn't just be a dad. You shouldn't make your children suffer because of choices you make. I get no greater joy than when I'm looking at my daughter and her friends when they're laughing their a**es off. Movies are great, but when I look back, it's the time with my family I'm going to remember. That's the source of character."
Bale is happily married to a former model and make-up artist Sibi Blazic, and they have a daughter named Emmeline. As for Barrymore, she is engaged to art consultant Will Kopelman, and has been reported expecting her first child soon after the engagement news broke out.
