'Bachelorette' Recap: Emily Maynard Axes Two Guys Over Daddy Issues
TV

Tony is sent home after revealing that he misses his son, while Alessandro gets the boot for calling parenting a 'compromise'.

AceShowbiz - Emily Maynard has gotten more comfortable with some of the guys on "The Bachelorette" in the Monday, May 28 episode. The mother of one shared smooch with Chris and Arie, who scored the one-on-one dates this week.

Chris was the first one who received the date card. He and Emily had to scale a building before having a dinner. Chris cheered on her when she looked scared, and they finally reached the top of the building. Chris wanted to kiss her, but held off because he's not sure if it was the right time.

During the dinner, Chris tried to assure Emily that he's ready for a family despite his young age (25). After the dinner, they danced at a Luke Bryan concert. Chris then asked a permission before kissing Emily. He got the rose at the end of the date.

Next, twelve guys including Stevie, Alessandro and Tony went on a group date. Emily enlisted her four best friends for this date and they grilled the guys to find out whether they're ready to be a father. For the next surprise, they guys had to hang out with a bunch of kids.

Tony, who is a father of one, talked with fellow single father Doug about him missing his son. Doug assured Tony that he's not a bad dad for being on the show. Later, Tony opened up to Emily about this issue and Emily said she felt the same way when she was on "The Bachelor". Explaining that she would feel guilty if she kept him away from his son longer than he needed to be, Emily sent Tony home. Meanwhile, Sean got the group date rose.

For the second individual date, Emily and Arie went to Dollywood, Tennessee. After riding a rollercoaster, they got a surprise from Dolly Parton who showed up and sang them a romantic song.

Later, during a dinner, Arie talked about his past relationship with a woman who had two kids. He told Emily he's ready for babies, while Emily said she would understand his busy schedule as a race driver. She gave him the rose and rounded up their date with a kiss on the merry-go-round.

At the cocktail party, Kalon complained about not having a date with Emily. He also kept interrupting her when she talked, prompting Emily to say she didn't like "tall, skinny and condescending" guy.

Also making bad impression was Alessandro, who admitted to Emily that he saw marriage and parenting as a "compromise" to lifestyle. Emily argued that such role would be an honor, but he disagreed. Emily didn't wait until the rose ceremony to send Alessandro home.

At the rose ceremony, Emily gave the roses to Jef, Charlie, Doug, Michael, Travis, Alejandro, Ryan, John, Kalon and Nate. Stevie was sent packing since Emily felt like he's a party guy rather than a family man she's looking for.
