Words are, the first sneak peek at the Quentin Tarantino-directed Western film will be played in front of Ridley Scott's space thriller which will hit the U.S. cinemas on June 8.

AceShowbiz - The first trailer of Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" will likely be made available for viewing pleasure in the near future. Rumor has it, the promo video will be attached to none other than Ridley Scott's "Prometheus", which will open in the U.S. on June 8.

It was Variety's Sturat Oldham who first broke the news. Taking to his Twitter account, he wrote, "Source: the first 'Django Unchained' teaser will play in front of 'Prometheus'." The Weinstein Company, which developed the spaghetti Western film, has yet to confirm the report.

Tarantino hasn't even finished shooting "Django", but he already received positive reviews. A sizzle reel of the film was previewed at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, and was highly praised by reviewers for presenting a mixture of sharp humor and brutal violence.

Set in 1800s, "Django Unchained" follows a freed slave who, under the tutelage of a German bounty hunter King Schultz, becomes a bad-ass bounty hunter himself. After assisting Schultz in taking down some bad guys for profit, he tracks down his slave wife and liberates her from an evil plantation owner Calvin Candie.

Starring as the titular freed slave is Jamie Foxx with Christoph Waltz tackling the part of dentist-turned-bounty hunter Schultz. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kerry Washington, meanwhile, portray Candie and Django's wife respectively.

"Django" will hit cinemas across the United States on December 25, the same day when DiCaprio's other movie "The Great Gatsby" opens nationwide.
