Returning as CIA operative Bryan Mills, Liam also discusses his character development in the upcoming sequel to 2008's 'Taken'.

AceShowbiz - A first look at Liam Neeson as his returning character Bryan Mills in "Taken 2" has been unveiled in a series of photo obtained by Entertainment Weekly. Looking fierce, the "Wrath of the Titans" thesp is in one image featured smothering a machine gun-wielding man with his palm.

Discussing his character development in the second movie, Liam opened up that Bryan is "a bit mellower." He added, "Having gone through the horror of the first film, and because of the success of retrieving his daughter, his notoriety has traveled and these major politicians and sheiks want him to be in their camp. He organizes the security situation. He's still retired from his special-forces group, but he takes private commissions."

Speaking about Bryan's relationship with his ex-wife Lenore and daughter Kim in the sequel, the Oscar-nominated actor dished, "I've taken a job over in Istanbul looking after a sheik who is there, and afterward I discover that my wife's going through a very bad time with her new husband."

"So I suggest she and my daughter come over for a few days and hang out with me in this amazing city," the 59-year-old star continued. "And then... [laughs] all this s**t happens, of course." The actor added that the sequel will "take place about a year or a year and a half after the first story."

"Taken 2", which will find Bryan in a troublesome situation to save his family from kidnappers in Turkey, is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. theaters on October 5. Returning as Lenore and Kim respectively are Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace. Directed by Olivier Megaton the sequel to 2008's "Taken" is written and co-produced by acclaimed French filmmaker Luc Besson.
