Admitting that he 'learned [it] the hard way,' Bieber says, 'I keep my guard up a lot, because you know, you can't trust anyone in this business.'

AceShowbiz - Although he's been in music business for only three years now, Justin Bieber has learned his lesson about other people's ulterior motives. The teen singer told GQ for its upcoming June issue that he "learned [it] the hard way."

Without explaining what kind of bad experiences that led him to think that way, Bieber said, "I keep my guard up a lot." He added, "Because you know, you can't trust anyone in this business. That's what's sad. You can't trust anybody."

In addition to talking about the downside of being famous, Bieber made comment about drinking alcohol. The 18-year-old singer stated, "For me, it's just like, I like to be in control of myself. I mean, I've had a beer, like, before ... but I never get out of control."

Bieber is going to release his new album "Believe" in the United States on June 19. He will make a live performance at 2012 Billboard Music Awards on May 20, and will embark on a tour later this year.
