After news of the 'Terminator 3' star's disappearance surfaced, a Los Angeles Police Department detective says that investigators are currently 'tracking down a few leads' on the case.

AceShowbiz - When news of Nick Stahl's disappearance broke out, there are concerns that drugs may be involved. The Los Angeles Police Department are trying to keep the case private, but Detective Carmine Sasso of the Adult Missing Persons Unit did say that the 32-year-old actor is indeed dealing with some personal issues.

To PEOPLE, Detective Sasso shared that the "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" star "has got some personal issues that he's trying to work through. The family asks that this be kept very low-key, and that affects our ability to successfully solve these cases." He added, "We are tracking down a few leads and using internal sources with information we have to see if we can quickly locate him."

On the possible involvement of drugs, the detective commented, "In general, [this case] is similar to a lot of our adult missing persons cases. Of the 14,000 missing persons cases I've handled over the past four years, there's a very good percentage of those involving drug issues and a separation from families. The vast majority of them have been successfully solved. Hopefully this one will be too."

Stahl was reported missing by his wife Roseann on Monday, May 14 morning. Words on the street are, the former child actor was last seen in Los Angeles' run-down Skid Row district on May 9. His wife has expressed concern about him possibly using drugs in court papers she filed back in February regarding their visitation agreement over their 2-year-old daughter, Marlo Murphy.
