Met backstage after she got eliminated, the Top 4 finalist also admits she has no idea why Joshua Ledet was crying so hard upon learning about her fate since they will meet again real soon.

AceShowbiz - Although she lost to him for a spot in the Top 3, Hollie Cavanagh has nothing but praises for fellow "American Idol" contestant, Phillip Phillips. After getting the boot from the competition Thursday, May 10, the 18-year-old told Zap2it backstage, "I am so happy for Phillip. He is so humble and he deserves to be there."

During the interview, the aspiring singer from McKinney, Texas also revealed what words of support 21-year-old Phillips whispered to her after host Ryan Seacrest read the result. "He said, 'Don't let this get to you; you are going to be amazing. This is not something that will bring you down,' " she recalled.

Asked how she took her elimination, Cavanagh opened up, "Honestly, if you'd asked me a couple of weeks ago I would've been upset and in tears, but you can't really complain when you are at the Top 4." She added, "There were so many people previously in the competition that would have died to have been in this spot, so I am proud of myself at this point."

The Top 4 finalist claimed to have already felt that she's going to be eliminated earlier that day. "I woke up this morning with a little gut feeling - I just kind of knew," she said before adding that she told best friend/fellow finalist Joshua Ledet about it. "I was talking to Josh about it all morning and all day saying how I felt and he told me to shut up," she recounted. "I was like 'just watch!' "

Cavanagh also gave her comment about Ledet who took news of her elimination hard. "I don't know why the boy was crying," she said, "I'll get to see him in like two days!" As for what she got from the competition, the teen, who had auditioned for "Idol" on season 10, shared, "I just felt myself getting more confident each week. I'm learning, and I'm learning every day. It's been a lot of fun."
