'Neighborhood Watch' Title Gets Altered as Red Band Trailer Debuted

In the wake of Trayvon Martin shooting case by a neighborhood watch, 20th Century Fox decides to change the comedy movie's title into 'The Watch'.

After previously pulling off its promotional materials in the wake of Trayvon Martin shooting case in Florida, "Neighborhood Watch" now gets a new title. 20th Century Fox announced on Friday, May 4 that the adult comedy movie will now be known as just "".

Confirming the news, Fox said in a statement, "As the subject matter of this alien invasion comedy bears no relation whatsoever to the recent tragic events in Florida, the studio altered the title to avoid any accidental or unintended misimpression that it might."

Back in March, the studio yanked the first teaser poster and teaser trailer of the and -starring movie from theaters in Florida considering the bad timing. At that time, the studio claimed that it will not change the film's July 27 release schedule in the U.S. cinemas.

Shortly after getting a new title, "The Watch" releases a red band trailer via IGN. It focuses on Stiller, Hill, and Richard Ayoade as a team of outrageous neighborhood watch, who wrongfully suspect everyone around them as aliens.

Directed by Akiva Schaffer and written by , "Neighborhood Watch" follows the four suburban guys who come together to form a neighborhood watch group, but only as an excuse to escape their humdrum lives one night a week.

However, when they accidentally discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, they have no choice but to save their neighborhood from total extermination.
