J.R. Martinez has officially become a first-time father. The season 13 winner of "Dancing with the Stars" and his girlfriend, Diana Gonzalez-Jones, welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lauryn Anabelle Martinez, on Wednesday, May 2 evening in Los Angeles.

Sharing his joyful news to PEOPLE, the 28-year-old actor/Iraq war veteran gushed, "She has a couple of cute little freckles on her cheeks, a full head of hair and the cutest little lips. It's just amazing to see her, finally. She's beautiful." He also noted that his newborn, who weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz. and is 21 inches long, has "already got a nickname - Belle."

Martinez first met Gonzalez-Jones when he landed a role on "All My Children", where she worked as an assistant to its executive producer. They began dating in 2010, and in December 2011, the actor announced that they were expecting a baby together.

"We found out just last week it's a girl and we are over the moon," he said in his statement at the time. "Diana has a little baby bump now and it's the cutest thing ever. With the holidays coming up, this is the biggest and best gift we could get."
