'Dexter' May Get New Love Interest in Season 7

The upcoming season of the Michael C. Hall-starring crime series will feature a new female character with a violent past who crosses paths with Dexter.

"" will reportedly get a new lady-love partner-in-crime in the upcoming seventh season. According to TV Guide, the next chapter of the psychological thriller show will feature a new character, a lady with a violent past.

The woman, who will possibly be a new love interest for the blood spatter pattern analyst, is trying to live a quiet life until her path crosses with Dexter's. She is said to "stick around for a while" on the show.

There's no word on the character's moniker and who will portray her since details of the new season are still scarce.

"Dexter" season 7 is scheduled to premiere Sunday, September 30 at 9/8c on Showtime. The show is expected to answer the question about what decision Deb makes after she learned a shocking truth about her brother.
