David Slade Hints His 'Daredevil' Project Might Be Dead
Movie

Breaking the news that the new DD film is far away from being made, director Slade writes on Twitter, 'We all want to make it but its going slow, and details are too boring to print.'

AceShowbiz - It's been more than a year since fans last heard about 20th Century Fox's new "Daredevil" movie project. While some fanboys are optimistic that the project is still in the works, director David Slade has hinted the otherwise.

Taking to his Twitter, Slade opened up that the untitled Daredevil project is still far away from being made. The filmmaker additionally revealed he's already not so excited about working on the long-gestating superhero film.

"Daredevil update is that there is no real Daredevil update. We all want to make it but its going slow, & details are too boring to print," so Slade tweeted. He followed it up with another posting that read, "I am focusing on Hannibal hoping after that to be able to get a burst of energy back on DD."

Slade, who helmed "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse", was chosen by Fox to helm the planned "Daredevil" project back in early 2011. The gig itself has been picked up by the studio since early 2010.

The yet-to-be-titled "Daredevil" film was initially designed to be more of a continuation of the DD saga and will not contain material from 2003's "Daredevil, The Movie", which was helmed by Mark Steven Johnson. Fox, at that time, pointed out that the project "shouldn't be considered a reboot."
