Accompanied by Kayte Walsh, the former 'Frasier' star stopped by Insight Studios in Chicago on Saturday, April 14 night to get his first ink job.

AceShowbiz - Kelsey Grammer has got his first tattoo at the age of 57, it has been reported. The actor playing Mayor Tom Kane on "Boss" went to Insight Studios in Chicago along with fourth wife Kayte Walsh on Saturday, April 14 to have her name etched on a spot just above his waistline. One of the shop's tattoo artists tweeted a picture of the actor getting the ink done.

Speaking of Grammer's visit, the shop's owner Bob Jones told the Chicago Sun Times, "He was pretty cool about it. He said it was his first tattoo and he did some research and said, 'You guys seemed to be the best place to go.' " He added that the 21-year-old front desk receptionist didn't recognize Grammer and asked to see his ID.

For his new body art, Grammer chose to etch his wife's first name "Kayte" in simple cursive letters on his hip. Tattoo artist James Eastwood said that the former "Frasier" star, whom he described as "a pretty down-to-earth dude", wanted "something small because it was his first one." The ink job reportedly cost $60.

Grammer married Walsh in February 2011. The couple are currently expecting twins together. When met backstage at the Golden Globes back in January 2012, Grammer confirmed the news to reporters as saying, "I'm really looking forward to meeting these new arrivals. Fatherhood's always different based upon the character that comes into your life. They arrive and tell you what you have to do."
